Amber is a sweet and affectionate hamster, but she's not one to be smothered with kisses and cuddles all the time. She enjoys affection on her own terms and will let you know when she's in the mood for some snuggles. Modelling for picture is not her favourite affair,and will usually squirm and wriggle until she manages to escape. Amber also prone to getting into mischief when left alone for too long, it is important to keep a constant eye on her before she disappear round the corner.

Asahi, is named after a famous beer but importantly carries the meaning of Sunshine or on an intimate level, Ray of Hope. After the passing of Tommy, for a solid 3 months, I was unable to find a suitable successor, for various reasons, the process dropped in the mid. Only after 2 futile visits, did I manage to bring Asahi home. He is neither my first hamster nor the most talented or cuddliest but he definitely left a huge memory in his absence. No word can describe the feeling Asahi gives out during the time spent, the best I could think of is “empathy”?

Tommy has a special affinity, we first met when he board with us on a stay-cation. He is a very sweet and gentle boy. No matter how much teasing, he takes treats off fingers tenderly and is careful not to cause any injury. Unknowingly, from a regular guest, he becomes a permanent household member when his owner needs to return to her hometown and I agreed to adopt him without hesitation. It was not something that was expected but turned out to be something blissful.

开阳 aka Mizar, named after Constellation - Ursa Major, the male keeper from the litter sired Summer and bore by Autumn. Mizar has vibrant orangery fur with a lighter dorsal colour than Summer. He takes after his Mum's activeness where he can be seen running on the wheel vigorously at night and zooming around the house. Yet he enjoys cuddling sessions, relaxing in dreamland.

武曲 aka. Alcor, named after Constellation - Ursa Major, the female keeper from the litter sired Summer and bore by Autumn. Alcor's fur colour tilted to the brown spectrum, giving her a coffee colour. Alcor has a layback personality like her Dad, often can be found asleep in corners and giving blur looks when she found you staring at her sleeping. However, when she is on hand, she switches to her active side in becoming just like her Mum, who is not content to stay still to enjoy the gentle massage but prefers to be on a quest in an attempt to scale my wrist.

After a trick with fate and a month of searching for the perfect orange pudding hamster, Summer finally called home with us. Although, I have high expectations for him to take after the placing of Dawn but he is on the other end of the pole. He has a layback personality and is content to fall asleep anywhere. Nonetheless, he is unique in his own way and craved his own position. His sweet sleepy face never failed to melt my worries and frustration of the day away and lull me into his serenity world. I accepted him wholeheartedly as himself and not as a shadow of my most beloved pet.

Autumn, the Consort of Summer, Mother of Mizar and Alcor. The bearer before Winter Season, wild in nature yet beautiful in its own way. Her mind is unpredictable; as attention-seeking, as she can crave for yet as ferocious as a warrior at times. No obstacles are too high nor too hard for her and her spirit never breaks no matter how many times she falls from them. Just like her season, she cannot be forced into submitting but guided to acceptance. She has my admiration!

Tian Xuan, 天璇, is named after the 7 Northern Constellation stars, it also has the meaning of "spinning sky" which suits him. He loves to climb up on anything, especially on me, which I can do nothing about and he always falls from heights. However, he could be hibernating like a bear so deep that he is oblivious to the surrounding. He has many cute poses that were never to be found when an accident shortened his life span...

A beautiful lady, gifted in many areas and has many different forms. She enters the family and my heart when she was no older than a weaned child. A curious girl in a new big world, curious about everything and afraid of nothing; climbing high and running low. This also led to the discovery of extraordinary climbing talent that had her crowned in a competition. Despite losing her energy in her silver year, she continues to shine with her genuine and jolly expression; always a photogenic model - my poster girl. No matter how much fun she had, she still preferred to snuggle and fall asleep with me on my body. Dawn, a stolen piece of me.

Yuki
Yuki, the meaning of snow in Japanese. This lady does live up to her name; with flawless white fur (hardly any grey marking) and cold temperate. To guests, she is totally different from what they know as a cute, warm, playful hamster. However, she is just icy on the outside but sweet on the inside. Her favourite activity is nose bumping!
Son of Nan Yuan, Brother of GG. He is so tame that he allowed me to tease him. ( Rubbing the fur until messy, pinching his nose :P ) Furthermore, a sleepyhead that likes to fall asleep in my palm.

Son of Nan Yuan, Brother of Baby. He is totally different from his brother; an active one and seemed to be unable to keep still. Other than his territorial behaviour, he is a sweet pet. Love to see him always trying to climb over my hand. :)

My first pet was a gift from a relative. He was about 4 months when he came. A very bad-tempter cutie, but a smart guy. Because of its credibility of going back home itself that it gained the privilege of roaming the house freely. :D

The proud mother of Baby & GG. This lady was also a gift from my relative, she was pregnant at that time. It was an amazing moment to be able to witness the process of her as a busy yet caring mother.
She left me while I was overseas, feeling heartbroken for not being able to be with her for the last part of her life. ):
